rain pounds on the lid of the trashcan over your head. its so loud that you cant even hear the thunder over the sound of the downpour above you.god you hated rain...but then again youre a cat. a very boney cat that hasnt eaten since before the rain began yesterday afternoon.you think back to the old fish you found and your stomach growls at you for what seems like the billionth time today alone. something snaps inside. you get up to find some food, rain and all. getting wet wont detour you from living another day. such is the life of a common stray on the streets. you race to get out of the chilly rain and under the shelter of a dumpster lid.
